What is a safari?
Safari is the Swahili word for travel. During your safari with… you make game drives through the most beautiful wild parks and will enjoy the most beautifully sceneries and animals.
Day 1: Arusha – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Pick up from Arusha city and drive to Ngorongoro, descend to the Crater floor for game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest collapsed volcanic crater in the world and fourteen kilometers of isolated natural beauty. Ngorongoro Crater is surrounded by a ring of extinct volcanoes and the floor, dotted with watering holes, shelters some 30,000 animals. You can expect to see lions, elephants, Zebras, Hippos, Flamingos, Jackals, Rhinos Antelopes and many birds. The birds seen here include eagle, vulture, and flamingos in the Crater Lake, stork, bats, giant vulture, sacred ibis, kori bustard, blacksmith plover, long necked heron and the cattle eagle. Picnic lunch will take place at hippo pool. Ascend to the rim for dinner and overnight at Campsite/ Lodge.

Day 2: Crater – Serengetibr
After breakfast, leave Ngorongoro crater heading for the endless plains of Serengeti. En-route to the Serengeti, you will visit the historic site of Olduvai Gorge (The Cradle of Mankind) where the world famous archeologist, Dr Leakey, discovered the remains of the early man. After visiting the site and the small museum there, you proceed on to central Serengeti for lunch at the Lodge. You will have an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. Dinner and overnight at Campsite/ Lodge.

Day 3: full day Serengeti National Park
You have a full day in this wonderful park, rising early to make the most of our time. Our guides will choose the best spotting locations for the time of year; you can spend time at the Hippo pool watching these majestic animals laze about in the cool water happily living alongside the crocodiles, watch a big pride of lions, be in the middle of the migration, sometimes surrounded by wildebeest, sometimes by zebras, which travel with the wildebeest. Your journey from the wide open plains to the kopjes: these volcanic rocky outcrops provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals and from the top we can look out across the vast grasslands of the Serengeti. This diverse and interesting landscape will provide us with the ultimate in game viewing, you will hopefully see all of the plain games; elephants, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, lions and it you are lucky the elusive leopard and cheetah, as well as huge amounts of interesting bird life, from the elegant secretary birds to the flightless ostrich. Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Arusha/Kilimanjaro
Enjoy early morning game viewing in the Serengeti where you may encounter the migration consisting of over 2 million animals. They also attract the attention of predators like hyena and you may be able to see a band of lion’s gang up for a hunt and afternoon game end route back to Kilimanjaro or Arusha and you will arrive in Kilimanjaro or Arusha in the late evening where the tour will end
